How To Google Translate Google Slides

Navigating the world of multilingual presentations can be a daunting task. However, Google Slides, a free online presentations software, offers a unique feature through Google Translate that allows users to translate their slide contents efficiently. Follow these simple steps to make your Google Slides multilingual!

Step 1: Open Your Google Slides Presentation

The first step is to open your Google Slides presentation. To do so, navigate to Google Drive and select the presentation you wish to translate. If you haven’t created a slideshow yet, you can simply click on ‘+ New’ and then select ‘Google Slides’.

Step 2: Copy the Content to Google Docs

Since Google Slides doesn’t directly offer a translation feature, we can leverage Google Docs for this. Start by creating a new Google Docs file. Subsequently, go back to your Google Slides, select the text you want to translate, copy it and paste it into the Google Docs file.

Step 3: Translate the Content in Google Docs

With your presentation text now in Google Docs, you can easily translate it using Google Translate. Select ‘Tools’ from the menu bar, then click on ‘Translate document’. A new window will appear, allowing you to choose your desired language. Click on ‘Translate’, and your text will be translated into your chosen language instantly.

Step 4: Copy the Translated Content to Google Slides

The final step is to copy the translated text from Google Docs and paste it back into your Google Slides presentation. Now you have a Google Slides presentation in the language of your choice!

Be aware, though, that Google Translate isn’t perfect and may not always translate your text accurately. It’s always a good idea to have someone who is fluent in the language check your translation.
