In the current era of remote working and learning, Zoom has become an indispensable tool for every professional and student. Zoom is an online platform that provides video conferencing, online meetings, and mobile collaboration. One of its remarkable features is its integration with Gmail. This integration allows for smooth scheduling and invitation of contacts to Zoom meetings directly from Gmail. In this blog post, we will guide you on how to send a Zoom invite in Gmail.
Step 1: Set up Zoom for GSuite
If you haven’t already, you first need to install the Zoom for GSuite add-on. You can find this add-on in the GSuite Marketplace. Once you’ve found it, click on the “Install” button and follow the instructions to complete the setup process.
Step 2: Create a new Calendar Event in Gmail
Once you’ve successfully installed the Zoom for GSuite add-on, head over to your Gmail account and click on the calendar icon on the right side of the screen to create a new event on your Google Calendar. Fill in the necessary details such as the title of the event, date, and time.
Step 3: Add Zoom Meeting
After entering all the details, you’ll notice the Zoom section below the event details. Click on “Add a Zoom Meeting”. This will automatically generate a new Zoom meeting link and add it to your event.
Step 4: Invite Guests
You can now invite guests to your meeting by adding their email addresses in the ‘Guests’ field. They will receive the invite in their Gmail, which includes the Zoom meeting link.
Step 5: Save the event
After you’ve added all your guests, click on the ‘Save’ button. A prompt will ask if you’d like to send an invitation email to your guests. Click on ‘Send’ to send the Zoom meeting invite to all your guests.
And that’s it! You have successfully created a Zoom meeting and sent invites using Gmail. It’s that easy. Now, you can easily schedule and manage your Zoom meetings directly from your Gmail account.
Note:
Make sure you’ve signed in to your Zoom account before creating a Zoom meeting in Gmail. If you’re not signed in, you’ll be prompted to sign in when you click on “Add a Zoom meeting”.
It’s time to make your online meetings more productive and less stressful with the convenience of Zoom and Gmail.
