Canva is a highly effective tool that enables you to effortlessly produce magnificent designs. Its team function allows for seamless collaboration. However, at some point, it may be necessary for you to exit a team on Canva. This blog post will provide guidance on how to do so.
Step 1: Open Canva and Sign In
First, you need to visit the Canva website and sign in to your account. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Log in’ button located at the top right corner of Canva’s homepage.
Step 2: Navigate to your Account Settings
Once you are logged in, navigate to your account settings. Click on the small triangle beside your profile picture at the top right corner, then select ‘Account settings’ from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Go to the ‘Billing & Teams’ Section
In your account settings, you’ll find a left-hand menu. Click on ‘Billing & teams’. You’ll see a list of teams that you’re currently a part of.
Step 4: Choose the Team You Want to Leave
Find the team you wish to leave and click on it. This will take you to the team’s settings page.
Step 5: Leave the Team
On this page, you will find a red ‘Leave team’ button at the bottom. Click on it and confirm your decision in the pop-up window that appears.
And You’re Done!
Congratulations! You have successfully left a team on Canva. Keep in mind that if you are the sole owner of a team, you will need to transfer ownership before leaving. Otherwise, the team will be deleted.
Remember that leaving a team means you will no longer have access to shared designs or resources within that team. So, be sure to save any important work to your personal Canva account before leaving.
Important note
Keep in mind that only the administrator and team owners have the ability to remove users from a team. If you’re not an admin or a team owner, you need to ask them to remove you from the team.
Happy designing!
