Should you ever need a specific font for your design that isn’t offered on Canva, there’s no need to fret. Canva has a solution – you can upload custom fonts to add your own personal flair to your creations.
In this step-by-step tutorial, we will guide you on how to upload fonts to Canva for free.
Step 1: Log in to your account
To get started, you’ll need to first log in to your Canva account. If you don’t have one, simply go to Canva’s website and create a free account.
Step 2: Navigate to the Brand Kit page
Once you’re logged in, click on the brand kit from the left-hand menu. Here you can manage all elements related to your brand, including fonts.
Step 3: Upload your font
Scroll down to the “Uploaded Fonts” section. Here, click on the “Upload a Font” button. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to choose a font file from your device.
Note: Canva supports several file types for fonts, such as TTF and OTF. Make sure the font file you wish to upload is in a supported format.
Step 4: Select and upload your font file
Locate the font file on your device and click “Open” to upload it. Canva will then process your font file.
Step 5: Use your uploaded font
Once successfully uploaded, your custom font will appear in the “Uploaded Fonts” section. You can now select the uploaded font from your font list while creating your designs.
Important:
Note that uploading custom fonts is a Canva Pro feature. You may need to upgrade to Canva Pro to upload and use custom fonts.
If you’re an owner or administrator of a Canva Pro team, you can upload fonts available to your whole team. If you are a member of a Canva Pro team but not an owner or administrator, you can only use the fonts that the team’s owner or admin has uploaded.
That’s it! You’ve just learned how to upload a custom font to Canva. Now go ahead and give your designs a unique and personal touch with your own fonts.
