Instagram is widely used for displaying brands and personal moments. Its ‘Instagram Story Highlights’ feature stands out, enabling users to save their best Instagram stories permanently. Nevertheless, some individuals prefer having these highlights on their profile without any labels for aesthetic reasons. The following blog post will provide a step-by-step tutorial on creating nameless Instagram Highlights.
Step 1: Create a New Highlight or tap on an Existing One
Go to your Instagram profile and click on the “New” button to create a new Highlight, or tap an existing Highlight you wish to modify.
Step 2: Editing the Highlight
If you’re creating a new Highlight, you’ll need to select the stories you want to include in your Highlight. Afterwards, or if you’ve selected an existing Highlight, you’ll be taken to the ‘Edit Highlight’ screen.
Step 3: Removing the Name
On the ‘Edit Highlight’ screen, you’ll see a text box for the ‘Name.’ Here’s where the trick comes in. You need a space that Instagram will recognize to remove the name, but unfortunately, your normal space bar won’t work. Instead, you’ll need to use a special invisible character. There’s a special Unicode character that Instagram accepts and won’t show. This is the ‘Braille Blank Space’ (U+2800).
So, how do you add this invisible character?
Step 4: Adding the Invisible Character
Open a website or app where you can access this special Unicode character. One good example is Compart.
Copy the Braille Blank Space (U+2800) and paste it into the ‘Name’ text box in Instagram. After pasting, click ‘Done’ and go back to your profile page.
Step 5: Enjoy Your Nameless Instagram Highlight
Once you’ve followed all these steps, you should now see your Instagram Highlight without a name.
This is a fantastic way to keep your Instagram profile minimalistic and clean. Enjoy your new, sleek-looking Instagram Highlights!
Note
It’s important to note that Instagram sometimes updates its platform, which may affect this workaround. If you’re having trouble, make sure your Instagram app is updated to the latest version and try again.
