When handling projects with multiple tasks, it is crucial to monitor each task individually. This is where Trello card numbers become important. These numbers act as a distinct marker for each card, simplifying the process of finding and handling them.
However, Trello doesn’t display card numbers by default. You have to manually enable this feature. In this guide, we’ll cover the steps on how to add card numbers in Trello.
Step 1: Open Trello Board
Start by opening the Trello board you want to add card numbers to. You can do this by logging into your Trello account and clicking on the desired board from the dashboard.
Step 2: Open the Card Numbers Power-Up
Once you’ve opened your Trello board, click on the ‘Show Menu’ button on the right-hand side, then select ‘Power-Ups’. From the Power-Ups page, find and select the ‘Card Numbers’ power-up.
Step 3: Enable Card Numbers
After opening the Card Numbers Power-Up, click on the ‘Enable’ button to turn on card numbers. Once enabled, each card on your board will display a unique number in the top-right corner.
Step 4: Navigate Back to Your Board
Once you’ve enabled the Card Numbers Power-Up, navigate back to your board. You can do this by clicking on the ‘Back’ button or by selecting your board from the Trello dashboard. You should now see a unique number displayed in the top-right corner of each card.
That’s it! You have successfully added card numbers in Trello. Remember, these card numbers are unique for each card and can be used to easily locate or identify a card from a pile of tasks.
Keep in mind that the Card Numbers Power-Up needs to be enabled for each board individually. If you want to display card numbers on a different board, you need to repeat these steps for that board.
Happy Trello-ing!
