Often we find ourselves creating beautiful presentations using Canva but want to transfer them to Google Slides for further editing, sharing or presenting directly. In this blog post, we’ll guide you on how to do this seamlessly.
Exporting Your Canva Presentation
The first thing you need to do is export your Canva presentation as a PDF.
This is done by clicking on the Download button at the top right corner of your Canva workspace. A drop-down menu will appear; select PDF Print as your preferred file type for the output.
Converting the PDF to Google Slides Format
Now that you have your Canva presentation downloaded as a PDF, the next step is to convert this PDF into a format that Google Slides can read.
To do this, you’ll need to use Google Drive. Here are the steps:
- Log in to your Google Drive.
- Select ‘New’ on the left panel.
- Then select ‘File upload’.
- Navigate to the location of the downloaded Canva PDF file and select it.
- After the file upload is complete, locate the file on your Google Drive. Right-click on it and select ‘Open with’ and then ‘Google Slides’.
Google Slides will automatically convert the PDF into a Google Slides presentation. This process may take a few moments depending on the size of your file.
Cleaning Up Your Slides
Once the conversion process is complete, you may find that your slides require some minor editing to ensure everything looks perfect. This can be accomplished directly in Google Slides.
And there you have it – your Canva presentation has been successfully exported to Google Slides. This will allow you to utilize the collaborative features of Google Slides such as real-time editing, commenting, and easy sharing.
Remember that while the conversion process is quite reliable, complex animations or specialized fonts may not convert perfectly, so always double-check your slides after conversion.
We hope this guide has been helpful. Happy designing and presenting!
