Step 1: Locate Your Issue
Firstly, make sure you have the right permissions to flag or unflag an issue. Once you have the necessary permissions, locate the issue that you want to flag. This could be on the JIRA dashboard, an active sprint board, or in the backlog.
Step 2: Open the Issue Details
After locating the issue, click on the issue key or the summary to open the issue detail view. This view gives you more information about the issue and lets you perform various actions on it.
Step 3: Flagging the Issue
Once you’re in the issue detail view, look for the “more” option. This should be present at the top-right corner of the issue detail view. Click on it, and you’ll see a drop-down menu with several options. From this list, select “Add Flag“. This will flag your issue with a visual indicator, usually a red flag icon.
Step 4: Unflagging the Issue
To unflag an issue, you simply follow the same steps, but choose “Remove Flag” from the more options menu.
