Windows 11 Home edition is designed for personal use and, by default, does not support joining an organization’s
Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) domain. However, you can still join your Windows 11 Home to Azure AD with a few
extra steps. In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of joining Windows 11 Home to Azure AD.
Step 1: Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro
Before you can join your device to Azure AD, you need to upgrade your Windows 11 Home edition to Windows 11 Pro.
Follow the steps below to upgrade:
- Press Win + I to open Windows Settings.
- Select System, then navigate to About.
- In the Windows specifications section, click on Upgrade your edition of Windows.
- Click on Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows.
- Enter your Windows 11 Pro product key and click Next.

Step 2: Join Windows 11 Pro to Azure AD
