Canva is a powerful design tool that anyone can use to create stunning visuals, infographics, presentations and much more. However, it’s not always clear how to incorporate more technical elements, such as mathematical equations. That’s why in this blog post, we’re going to guide you through the process of how to input equations in Canva.
Step 1: Type Out Your Equation
Start by typing out your equation in a text box. To do this, click on the + Add a text box button on the left-hand side of your Canva workspace. Type your equation using standard keyboard characters.
Step 2: Convert Your Text Into an Equation
Canva currently does not support a direct method to input equations. A workaround this limitation is to use an online equation editor, such as Codecogs LaTeX equation editor. Simply type out your equation in LaTeX format and click on the Submit button to generate an image of your equation.
Step 3: Upload the Equation Image to Canva
Go back to Canva and on the left-hand side of your workspace, click on the Uploads button. Then click on the Upload an image or video button. Locate the image file you generated in the previous step and click on the Open button to upload it to Canva. Click on the uploaded image to add it to your design. You can resize and move it around as needed.
Step 4: Customize Your Equation
Canva offers a variety of tools to help you customize your equation. You can change the size, the position, and the rotation of your equation. To do this, click on your equation and then click on the corresponding buttons in the toolbar at the top of your workspace.
Wrapping Up
Although Canva doesn’t currently have built-in support for mathematical equations, this workaround is simple and effective. It allows you to add more depth to your designs by incorporating mathematical equations. All you need is a bit of patience and creativity!
