Instagram is a popular social media platform that enables users to share their experiences through images and videos. Although not officially supported like Twitter and Facebook, there are methods to repost on Instagram. Read on to learn more about the new way to repost on Instagram.
Repost using Instagram’s ‘Add Post to your Story’ Feature
This is a feature Instagram officially provides for users to share someone else’s post on their Story. It’s super easy and does not involve any third-party apps.
Step 1: Find the post you want to repost and tap on the ‘share’ button (the paper airplane icon) under the post.
Step 2: In the pop-up menu, select ‘Add Post to Your Story’.
Step 3: The post will appear on your Story screen with all the Story editing tools. You may add text, stickers, or whatever you like.
Step 4: Once you are done editing, just tap on ‘Your Story’ at the bottom to share.
Repost using Third-party Apps
If you want to repost the actual post (not just as a story), you will need to use third-party apps like Repost for Instagram, InstaRepost or DownloadGram.
Here is a generic way of using such apps:
Step 1: Download and open the reposting app. Step 2: On Instagram, find the post you’d like to repost and tap on the ‘…’ (three-dot) icon above the post. Step 3: Click on ‘Copy Link’. Step 4: Switch back to the reposting app, where the post should appear automatically. Step 5: Tap on ‘Repost’, then ‘Copy to Instagram’, where you can paste the copied content. Step 6: The post is now ready to be shared on your Instagram feed!
Please remember to always give credit to the original poster when you repost their content. It’s not only respectful, but it’s also required by Instagram’s terms of service.
Happy reposting on Instagram!
