Google Slides is a powerful tool that enables us to create stunning presentations. It allows for various customizations, from altering the size and color of text to adjusting the position of images. One feature that may be of interest is the ability to send an image to the back or bring it to the front. This blog post will guide you through the steps of how to send an image to the back in Google Slides.
Step 1: Open Your Presentation
The first thing you need to do is open your Google Slides presentation. You can do this by navigating to the Google Slides homepage and selecting the presentation you would like to edit or by opening a new presentation.
Step 2: Select Your Image
Next, click on the image you want to send to the back. Ensure that the image is selected; a blue border will appear around it when it is.
Step 3: Access the Arrange Menu
With your image selected, navigate to the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on the “Arrange” option.
Step 4: Send the Image to Back
A drop-down menu should appear once you click on the “Arrange” option. From this menu, click on “Order”, and then choose “Send to back”.
By doing this, you effectively push the image to the back, allowing other elements on the slide to appear in front of it.
Additional Tip: Bring Forward and Send Backward
Google Slides also provides options to bring an element forward or send it backward layer by layer, instead of directly to the front or back. This is especially useful if you have multiple overlapping elements. You can find these options in the same “Order” menu as above.
1. Click "Arrange" -> "Order" 2. Choose "Bring forward" to move the image up one layer 3. Choose "Send backward" to move the image down one layer
Now that you know how to send an image to the back in Google Slides, you can better control the layering and visual hierarchy of your slides. Experiment and play around with these options to create visually appealing presentations. Happy designing!
