Canva is a fantastic graphic design platform that allows professionals and novices to create stunning visuals. One of the features that truly sets Canva apart is its ability to let users upload their own fonts. While Canva provides an impressive array of default fonts, nothing makes your design stand out more than a unique, custom font. In this blog post, we will guide you through the steps to uploading a font into Canva.
Step 1: Log in to Canva
If you don’t already have an account with Canva, you will need to create one. It’s quite straightforward and free. After you’ve created your account, simply log in.
Step 2: Access the Brand Kit
On your Canva homepage, click on the Brand Kit tab in the menu on the left-hand side. The Brand Kit is where you can create and manage your unique brand identity, including fonts, logos, and colors.
Step 3: Uploading Your Font
Inside the Brand Kit, you’ll find an option labeled Upload a font. Click on this button.
Please note that this option is only available to Canva Pro users. If you’re not a Canva Pro user, there will be a prompt asking you to upgrade.
Step 4: Choose your Font File
Upon clicking the Upload a font button, a window will appear. Here, you’ll be asked to select the font file from your device. Canva supports .TTF and .OTF font file formats.
After you select your font file, click the Open button to upload your font.
Step 5: Accept the Terms and Conditions
Once you’ve selected your font file, a pop-up window will appear, asking you to accept Canva’s terms and conditions for uploading fonts. After reading them, click I agree to proceed.
Step 6: Use Your Uploaded Font
Once you’ve uploaded your font, you will be able to use it on any of your Canva designs. Just navigate to the text tool, click on the font menu, and you will find your newly uploaded font at the top of the list.
