Is your computer running slowly? Do you have viruses, spyware, or adware. This tutorial will allow you to completely clean up your computer using all free applications. It will definitely increase the speed of your computer and allow you to be safer on the internet. A lot of times these “applications” will tie themselves to system restore so that when your remove them from your system, they can still come back because they are embedded in the restore points. Let’s begin.
To begin, right-click on My Computer and click on properties.
The above window will appear. This window is the main computer configuration window. At the top of the window, there are tabs to browse the different configuration options.
Click on the system restore tab and the window above will appear. Check the box that says Turn off System Restore. And click on apply.
Once you click on apply, you will get the above message box that makes sure you really want to disable the system restore. It also says that you will lose all your restore points until this time. This means that you will not be able to restore your computer until you turn system restore back on and make a restore point.
Once you have completed these steps, we are ready to begin running the applications to start cleaning our system. There are three tutorials that we will need to follow in order to achieve this. The software used in these tutorials is all free to use. This method of removing these problems has never failed me yet. By the time I am all done, the computer runs a tons faster with no pop-ups.
First:The first thing we need to do is to check for Viruses. To do this we will be using AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. To do this follow this tutorial.
Second:Once you complete that tutorial and are ready to continue, we want to check for Adware and Spyware. These programs usually will be a huge part in slowing down your machine. To do this, we will be using Super Anti-Spyware. You can follow that tutorial here.
Last:Finally, once you have completed the spyware and adware part, you need to do some basic clean-up of files that are unneeded and could be slowing the computer down. To do this we will be using a tool called CCleaner and a tutorial on it can be found here.
Once completed with CCleaner, your computer should be running a lot faster and not taking as long to load applications. Sometimes, it is necessary to run these applications more than once to mitigate all the problems. You can now turn System Restore back on safely.I would be interested in knowing if this process leaves things behind. If you have any issues with this or don’t get the results planned, please leave a comment to let me know. I hope this helps you and you were able to follow it easily. Thank-you for reading.
