If you find that important emails are ending up in your spam folder, you can prevent this by whitelisting the email address in Gmail. Whitelisting ensures that emails from a particular sender always end up in your inbox, regardless of the content of the email.
Steps to Whitelist an Email in Gmail
Step 1: Open Your Gmail Account
The first step is to log in to your Gmail account. If you do not have one, you can create it by going to Gmail and clicking on Create account.
Step 2: Go to Settings
Once you are logged into your Gmail account, click on the gear icon on the upper right corner of the page and select See all settings from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Go to Filters and Blocked Addresses
In the settings page, click on the tab that says Filters and Blocked Addresses.
Step 4: Create a New Filter
On the Filters and Blocked Addresses page, click on the link that says Create a new filter.
Step 5: Enter the Email Address
A dialogue box will pop up. In the From field, type in the email address you want to whitelist, then click on Create filter.
Step 6: Select “Never send it to Spam”
On the next screen, check the box next to Never send it to Spam, then click on Create filter again.
