Canva has become a go-to tool for designing stunning graphics and presentations. But did you know you can upload your own fonts into Canva? This can help you maintain brand consistency across all your designs. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide on how to upload a font into Canva.
Step 1: Log in to Your Canva Account
Firstly, you need to log in to your Canva account. If you don’t have an account, you can easily create one by signing up with your email address or social media accounts.
Step 2: Go to Brand Kit
Once you’re logged in, click on the Brand Kit option on the left-hand side of your Canva homepage. The Brand Kit is where you can customize your brand’s color palette, logos, and fonts. Note that the ability to upload fonts is only available on Canva Pro, Canva for Enterprise, or Canva for Education accounts.
Step 3: Upload Your Font
In the Brand Kit, scroll down to the Uploaded Fonts section. Click on the Upload a font button. This will open a new window where you can browse and select the font file you wish to upload.
// Example of font file selection "Select Files" -> Browse your device -> Select your desired font file
Please ensure your font file is in .OTF or .TTF format, as these are the formats Canva accepts.
Step 4: Confirm Upload
After selecting your font file, a dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm that you have the rights to use this font. Make sure you have these rights to avoid any legal issues. Once you confirm, click on the Upload button. Your font will start uploading, and once it’s done, it will appear in your Uploaded Fonts section.
Step 5: Start Using Your Uploaded Font
Once your font is uploaded, it’s ready to use in your designs. Just go to any design editor, click on the Text tab, and you’ll find your uploaded font in the Font dropdown menu. Just select it, and start creating your design.
